Stonewall Sports Detroit Scholarship 2025

The Stonewall Sports Detroit Scholarship is dedicated to empowering and supporting LGBTQIA+ college students within the tri-county area (Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb Counties, as well as the cities of Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti). Named in honor of the namesake of our organization, the Stonewall Rebellion of 1969, this scholarship recognizes the vital contributions of LGBTQIA+ leaders to the fight for civil rights. Our mission is to honor the legacy of our queer/trans ancestors and fellow activists by providing financial assistance to individuals who self-identify as LGBTQIA+ and are attending a non-profit 2-year or 4-year college/university or non-profit post secondary school, towards degree completion. Through this scholarship, we aim to offer two $1,000 scholarships to offset the cost for every day needs for college and cultivate future leaders who will continue the fight for civil rights and social justice in our communities.
